Riccardo Bettini and Sarah Gjergo graduated in architecture at the University of Ferrara with a thesis developed in Albania, on the city of Durrës. They started working together as a team at the university, starting in 2018 they founded a collective, that deals with projects at different scales and research, over the years they have actively contributed by organizing conferences, exhibitions, and workshops.
University experiences abroad at Faculdade de Arquitectura do Porto, ETSAV, Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura del Vallès and POLIS in Tirana contribute to their education.They conclude their training by working at the Spanish studios Miralles-Tagliabue, Barcelona and Vazquez Consuegra, in Seville.
In 2020 they are involved as Teaching Assistants for the Department of Architecture in Ferrara, during this period they obtain numerous awards by participating in competitions and workshops. They participate in the BODAR team at the Pisa biennial “Tempo d’Acqua” with the research and the project “Simulacrum: landscape devices for the Aeolian Islands”.
Currently, they work respectively in Porto and Berlin, meanwhile continuing their research and training in the field of landscape and urban design.
